Well at least for a short period of time, or at least given a break.  True he is "Slinger Malinga " and is the only bowler Mahela can turn up to in order to bowl those toe crushing yorkers to dismiss the opposition batsmen. Yet recently, he has become so inconsistent. It is high time he should be left in the dressing room for a while and give another bowler a chance.

Rahul Dravid , one of the most admired cricketers in the modern era announced his retirement from First Class Cricket yesterday. With his form dipping in the last few series he played, specially in the last Australian tour where he struggled to even get 1 century, the writing was on the wall for him , Tendulkar and Laxman ; the remaining greats in the Indian middle order completed by Saurav Ganguly who retired earlier.  Rahul decided end his career. A glorious one of that.

First it was England, now it is Sri Lanka. We are the team who played the best cricket right throughout and faltered in the end. We are the bridesmaids who had the chance to sleep with the husband, yet didn't take that chance and just kissed him and said Goodbye.

The climax is here and it is time to do it all one more time.  I am sure our Lions will win this one and after loosing so much finals in the past few years, it is high time we take it all. My wishes are with our Lankan Lions and I am sure they will keep our Lion Flag waving high tonight.  We will be cheering you all the way , till the winning run is scored . 

Hope the Lions will roar ! in all their might in Adelaide tonight.

The second final of the CB series was concluded in today in Adelaide where the Lankan Lions roared and thrashed the Australians by 8 wickets. It was the perfect reply to the fightback we gave in Hobart and I am pretty sure that we will win the 3rd final too in Adelaide and take this series. We deserve it, we have been the best and the most consistent team in the whole tournament.  But, we could not have come this far if we didn't have a captain like Mahela Jayawardene. He is a modern day “Captain Cool ",  the " Leader with a Lion Heart ".

When the Aussies scored 321 , I thought we were gone. Then at 144 for 6 I again switched the channel of my tv and watched a freaking magic show instead. All of a sudden, my dad said to watch the match and then I watched it till the end. What a Match it was. What a Performance by our Sri Lankan Lions.

There was no rain , there were no interruptions instead there was excitement till the last over. The Sri Lankan Lions pulled off an amazing victory against the Aussies last night and booked their place in the CB series finals, dissing India who had to take an early flight home.
